One of my favorite desserts of all time, the Cannoli originates from the Island of Sicily. It is a tubed shaped shell of fried pastry dough, with some type of creamy filling inside. Usually its vanilla but can be any kind of flavor, such as chocolate or even blueberry or strawberry. They come in all sizes, from no larger than a finger to as large as your fist! Cannoli’s are a well known pastry, and are found in other traditions besides Italian.
